I worked as a contractor for the public relations and communications company Finesse Group.

I wrote, edited, and proofread copy for Finesse's extensive client base, including blogs, press releases, web text, op-eds and narrative interviews. I was also a coach for student writers at the
Finesse Writers' Club.

 

Adapting my tone of voice and conducting deep-dive technical research was a daily part of the role. I wrote on a myriad of topics, from beauty and hospitality, to iGaming and energy and sustainability.

I worked for this online vehicle insurer to assist them with the launch of a new insurance product. I reviewed their external comms and created a suite of strategic messages to be used by their recruitment and marketing departments. I also worked closely with key stakeholders to create new product launch announcements, blogs and employer branding content.

As this grant-giving charity’s only marketing professional, I managed its promotion and enhanced its public profile. I worked closely with local media outlets and gave radio interviews, wrote news articles and case studies, and managed its website and social media strategy.

I designed all the assets used by the charity (including logos, infographics and videos) and created e-newsletters, data-driven research reports, and its annual report.

By the time I left the charity, I had tripled its LinkedIn following and significantly grown engagement across all of its social channels.

While working for this SaaS start-up I created the company’s tone of voice and editorial guidelines for content from scratch. I ran the company blog and wrote and edited content that ranged from technical blogs and culture articles, to job descriptions and ad copy.

I proofread company communications, ghostwrote for the company cofounders and other subject experts, and managed the creation of design content for the website and promotional material.
