I am Catherine Drake, a freelance writer and marketing specialist with a background in film and television journalism. I have worked in a variety of industries, including the arts, the fast-moving tech world, public relations and the charitable sector.

As a Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic, I have appeared on national television and radio, and my work has been featured in The Times, Digital Spy, Little White Lies and Den of Geek, to name a few.

I have enjoyed working with companies at a variety of levels, from writing reviews and features in a freelance capacity, to writing blogs and press releases as an employee and shaping a company’s tone of voice and marketing strategy.

I currently co-author the Everyman Cinemas magazine, which can be picked up at any of their cinemas across the UK, and I write film previews for their website and e-shots targeted to their newsletter subscribers. I also promote the Everyman brand in other outlets through written advertorials, most recently in the high-end lifestyle magazine Living North.
